At Fair Oaks Church, reaching people for Jesus in our neighborhoods and around the world is a huge part of who we are.
We value investing in and supporting local ministries and missionaries around the world. We are passionate about participating in the Great Commission and sharing the good news of Jesus with everyone!

our local food bank

You can help our community by volunteering at the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank! As a church, we're committed to helping distribute food on a monthly basis. We need ~15 volunteers from 9am-12:30pm on the second Friday of each month.

winter guest house

We will be hosting guests from both the Citrus Heights & Rancho Cordova HART locations on our campus February 16-22, 2025. We're only able to make this happen with the help of many volunteers! Sign up below to help cook, clean, serve meals, do laundry, spend the night, and more!

Whether you are able to serve or not, we can ALL participate in praying for this ministry opportunity and those involved.

pray for guests

  • Pray each guest would feel seen and valued, as precious image-bearers of God.
  • Pray they experience dignity and respect during their stay and feel God’s love in the hospitality they receive.
  • Pray for peace in their hearts and hope for their futures, trusting in God’s provision.

pray for volunteers

  • Pray for humble hearts to serve each guest with compassion, empathy, & genuine care.
  • Pray for strength and patience, for the ability to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each guest.
  • Pray for a heart of servanthood, mindful  that Jesus first loved us and came to serve.
  • Pray for a spirit of joy & unity, knowing that in serving people, we are serving Christ.

pray for wisdom & protection

  • Ask God to provide physical safety for everyone, protecting from harm, and covering each person with His peace.
  • Pray for wisdom in decision-making, so volunteers can respond wisely to any challenging situations that arise.
You're invited to stay for the Ash Wednesday Worship & Prayer service at 6:30p in Wells Chapel (programs for kids/students & childcare available).

missionary visit
March 5 | 5pm

Some of our supported missionaries will be in town visiting on Wednesday, March 5th! Please join us at 5pm for appetizers and the opportunity to hear from Theresa and Buky and how God is working through Mexican Medical Ministry in Mexico. This is where our La Esperanza team will be headed to serve this summer! Please bring an appetizer to share.

now collecting items for mission auction

Our annual missions auction will be Saturday, March 29th. We are collecting NEW items only! Gift cards and services (oil change, hair cuts, yard work, etc). are also welcome. Please bring items to the church office during office hours or contact Patsy (pconner@fopc.org) with questions and/or to arrange for drop off time. We will not accept items/services after Sunday, 3/16. Thank you for your generosity!

missions auction march 29

We have a teams going to Mexico, Malawi and students going to Hume Lake  this summer! All proceeds raised at this event will go to fund these trips! Tickets are $30/person and childcare is available for $10/child.

2025 mission trips

Is God calling you to serve by being sent on a mission trip in 2025? Learn more below about trips through Fair Oaks Church and submit an application by January 31, 2025. In addition to the application, please also turn in 2 color copies of your passport and trip deposit to the church office. Printed applications are also available. We encourage you to attend the trip interest meetings on 11/17/24 and 1/5/25 at 11:45a in the Family Life Center (AMC). Please contact Patsy Conner (pconner@fopc.org) with more questions.

Participants must be 18+
This team will partner with an organization to provide disaster relief to those affected by recent hurricanes.
Deposit: $50/person

malawi, africa
june 19-july 6

Participants must be 14+
This team will serve at the Miqlat School in Malawi and provide support to teachers.
Deposit: $150/person

la esperanza, mexico
july 26-august 2

Participants must be 7+ (12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
This team will serve with Mexican Medial through work projects and outreach to families in the surrounding migrant camps.
Deposit: $50/person

miqlat sponsorships

Become a sponsor to help children and young adults in rural Malawi. This program creates access to a new quality of life and expands opportunities for flourishing instead of just surviving. Sponsors give $46 per child per month. This provides high quality education (at Miqlat Primary School, Private Secondary School or Trade School), uniforms and all necessary school supplies, daily nutritious meals, access to quality healthcare, sustainable agricultural techniques, life-giving spiritual discipleship.
